Final Publication Of Electoral Roll and VHC

                                  

                               NOTICE

               Final Electoral roll was published on 31 st January,2014 at offices of ERO of  All Assembly constituencies and at all designated locations  in Mumbai Suburban District in accordance with the rule 22 of  Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 in Form 16[See rule 22(1)].

           For  Submission of claims for inclusions,objections for deletions, corrections and transpositions in Forms 6, 7, 8, and 8A under the provision of continuous updation of the electoral rolls , Voter Help Centres are started in All Assembly Constituenies .

ECIs clarification on 'None of the above-counting of votes-reg.

ECIs clarification on 'None of the above-counting of votes-

       ECI has clarified that votes polled against the NOTA option is not to be taken into account for calculating the total valid votes polled by the contesting candidates for the purpose of return of,security deposit.

A)  News paperAdvt-:

In a reference regarding publication of DAVP’s News paperAdvt. on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi and the birth anniversary of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Commission vide letter No. 437/6/CG/2013-CC & BE dated 30th October, 2013, granted permission to the publication of photographs and message related to departed political leaders except those leaders who passed away in the recent past. 

B)  Display of names of MPs etc. under MPLAD scheme-:

•The names of MPs/MLAs etc. on moving objects like water tankers/ ambulances etc. should be suitably covered for the duration of the polls

•Letter no. 437/6/MP/2013  dated 29th October, 2013

Provision For "None Of The Above" Option On EVM /Ballot Paper -ECIS instruction And Format of Ballot paper

The Hon.SC directed ECI to make necessary provision in Ballot paper/EVM for None of D Above Option So that the voters who do not wish to vote for any of the candidates can exercise their right not to vote for any candidate without violation of the secrecy of their decision.ECIs direction to implement to implement the NOTA option on EVM/Ballot paper.
